The 2024 Discerning Eye Drawing Bursary

The Discerning Eye Drawing Bursary, valued at £1500, was launched in 2005 to provide an opportunity for artists to extend their practice by offering financial support and the chance to exhibit their work as part of the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition.

Each year artists resident in the UK are invited to submit up to three images and a short written proposal that demonstrates how the bursary will benefit their current practice. From this open submission a shortlist of artists is invited to exhibit their work alongside the ING Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries.

Our education committee, along with members of the Discerning Eye board have chosen their short list of artists which you can see here and is also on show at the Mall Galleries.
